Missouri History Museum

The Missouri History Museum is located on the site of the main entrance to the 1904 World’s Fair. The museum contains the history of St. Louis from its founding in 1764 to present day, including the first national monument to Thomas Jefferson.

Cahokia Mounds National Heritage Site

The Cahokia Mounds are the remains of the most sophisticated prehistoric native civilization north of Mexico. In addition to visiting the interpretive center, you can take a self-guided tour of this World Heritage Site with maps and an optional audio tour, exploring the 2200-acre tract of the city’s religious, political, social, and cultural remains.
